Designing your deck
How does it work?
You upload 14 photos and name your deck. We design it into a real 54-card deck with your name or message on the back, print it and post it to you in a tin. There's no online editor to wrestle with: we do the design.
How many photos do I need?
14. Each photo appears several times across the 54 cards. If you'd rather have one photo on every card (popular for weddings and businesses), you can choose a single photo instead.
Can I have 52 different photos?
Not at the moment. Printing 52 unique images makes each deck far more expensive, so the layout uses 14 photos repeated through the deck, or one photo on every card.
What photos work best?
Clear, high-resolution photos straight from your camera roll. Screenshots and photos saved from social media can print blurry. A mix of close-ups, group shots and one or two funny ones makes the best deck.
What goes on the back of the cards?
A name or short message of your choosing, like "The Smith Family", a date, or an in-joke only they'll get.
Can I customise the front text?
If you'd like a fully custom front design, email it to us straight after checkout. We can only apply it if your order hasn't gone into production yet, so it isn't guaranteed.
Can I change my order after checkout?
Orders go into production quickly, so changes to photos, text or address aren't guaranteed. Email us straight away and we'll do our best before your deck is printed.
Shipping and delivery
How long does delivery take?
Each deck is made in 2 to 5 business days, then shipped free with tracking. Most orders arrive within 10 to 17 days of ordering in Australia, New Zealand and the UK, and 12 to 20 days in the US.
Is shipping free?
Yes. Shipping is free and tracked to Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the US and worldwide. Tracking can take 2 to 5 days to update after dispatch. You can track your order here.
When should I order for Christmas?
Aim for mid-November. Deliveries slow down in December everywhere, and if you're collecting photos from relatives, give yourself an extra week for that. Stuck for ideas? Here are our Christmas gifts for the family that has everything.
Bulk orders, returns and the camera
Do you do bulk orders?
Yes. We offer bulk pricing on 10 or more decks, for weddings, events, bridal parties and businesses. Email support@mimiescards.com with how many you need.
What if my deck arrives damaged or misprinted?
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of the problem and the packaging. If it's a printing or manufacturing fault, we'll send a replacement at no cost. Because every deck is made to order, we can't offer refunds for change of mind. Full details are in our refund policy.
How does the Mimies camera work?
The Mimies digital film camera has no screen. You point, shoot and only see your photos when you plug it in over USB-C, so nobody stops to check or retake. It takes 12MP photos with 8 film looks and about 800 shots a charge.
